After sleeping in and eating a late breakfast, we headed to CECHE to present our finished chairs to the children. It was heartwarming to see all the kids get their chairs, but sad to say goodbye to the families and workers at the foundation. One of the volunteers, Panta, gave us a group photo in a handmade frame. We then went to AVEH to say goodbye to Cecile. We gave her a thank you gift of bananas and pineapples for the kids and staff to enjoy. We left Nyamata after lunch to go Kigali. First, we went to a bustling market, where we bought souvenirs and got some jackets and pants made of beautiful kitenge fabric. Afterward, we got delicious Indian food at a local restaurant and headed back to Nyamata.
