Cleverly Constructing Chairs

This post is by Putney students Ella and Alex.

Alana working with Joseph, the program director of CECHE, on a cardboard chair for nine-year-old Manzi.
Alex cutting the support areas in his chair for 13-year-old Rachel and telling jokes in French!
Amelia and Ella working with Pantaleon on their chair for four-year-old Deborah.
Georgia and Alana working with Pantaleon on tying supports to strengthen their almost-finished chair!
After working on the chairs, the group took a trip to the local market right down the road. We stocked up on plenty of fruits and strolled through the clothing section.
Izzy and Pantaleon making the glue that binds the chairs together. This glue is made out of cassava flour and boiling water. It is very effective!
